New to the event as a participating restaurant, RAVENLADY Oyster Forte participated in the 19th Annual Clayoquot Oyster Festival over the weekend.

We entered the competition & placed 3rd in the “People Choice Award” for best oyster dish. Chef Mickey masterfully prepared Effingham oysters with a blackberry mignonette as well as in house smoked oysters with blue cheese on crackers for the occasion.

About the Festival:
Always one of the most memorable nights of the year the oyster gala aims to fulfill all your oyster desires. Local restaurants will showcase their inspired oyster dish for all to indulge. Of course with any great regional food event comes delicious BC wine, beer and cider for oysters to walk hand in hand with. And for those thirsty for competition there will be both the popular “Best Oyster Dish” judged by all oyster lovers in the house as well as a unique to Tofino chef/farmers oyster shucking relay, demonstrating Clayoquot Sound’s love of eating oysters and working together.
